Steve Harris and the Racing for the Troops teams will be honoring 4 different Fallen Soldiers a the Tachi Open race at Kings Speedway in Hanford California on Sept 26th and 27th. We will be posting a copy of the memorials in the next few days. Racing for the Troops plans to field four cars at this race.
Kyle Harris will be running the teams #33 360 Winged Sprint Car, Nick Green will be in the #14 Winged 410 Sprint Car, and Justin Grant will pilot the #22 360 non-wing car. Justin will also race the #17 Midget owned by Dave and Wendy Thurston, but will field a memorial on that car as well. There will be a number of family members of these fallen soldiers on hand for the race, and Deborah Getz will have this memorialized Hummer on hand. representatives.
Nick will be making his debute to wing car racing Saturday, September 20 at Ocean Speedway. Nick is very excited to get some seat time and prepare for 2009 and a run at the 09 Golden State rookie of the year honors. He has a deal with Steve Harris' Racingforthetroops.com Sprintcar program. Steve Harris has decided to run three cars next season. Two wing cars and one non wing. Nicks teammates will include Kyle Harris and Justin Grant. Nicks car will be supported by Allweld, Moeller Bros, and of course Racingforthetroups.com. He will cary the famous number 14 made so famous by his father the 1992 King of California.
